Former Pro VC Appointed UNU-INRA Advisory Board Member
Professor Samuel Nii Odai, the immediate past Pro Vice-Chancellor of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has been appointed by the Rector of the United Nations University to serve on the Advisory Board of the United Nations University Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA).
The four-year appointment is from 2017 through 2020 as stated in his appointment letter dated 1st March, 2017 and signed by David M. Malone, the Rector of the United Nations University.
“It is my strong belief that the qualifications and experience you will bring to the Board will contribute significantly to the programmes and functioning of the Institute.” Mr. Malone stated in the letter.
Prof. Odai, who is a fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, takes up this position with many years of relevant experience, serving in many capacities including as director of the WASCAL Climate Change and Land Use and as centre leader for the Regional Water and Environmental Sanitation Centre both at KNUST.
The UNU Institute for Natural Resources in Africa (UNU-INRA) is a research and training centre of the United Nations University. The institute aims at bridging the gap between science and natural resource management policies in Africa.
