The CANR announces the BEAUCHEMIN-McGUINN AWARD OF EXCELLENCE IN AGRICULTURE

Dr. Karen Beauchemin-Mcguinn has generously donated her Berteboo cash prize to the Department of Animal Science, KNUST, Kumasi. The interest accruing from the cash prize invested will be given as scholarship annually to support graduate female education.

Applications are therefore invited from qualified females interested in studying for a Master’s degree in Animal Science, to receive research support to the tune of GH₵5,000.00 during the 2015/2016 academic year.

Interested applicants may apply by duly filling out a Postgraduate application form and writing a 5-page proposal in any discipline of Animal Science related to addressing issues of sustainable animal agriculture, environment and aspects of rural development or ecology. Applicants who have already filled out the Postgraduate forms need only to send the proposal.

Only applicants with a First Class or a Second Class Upper degree in Agriculture, Biochemistry or Biology will be considered.
